What AppSumo is#

AppSumo is a software marketplace that runs launch campaigns for partner products. It handles marketing such as email, paid ads and its affiliate network, and most campaigns run about 60 days, according to its seller page.

Who it suits#

Its buyers are entrepreneurs, small business owners, marketers, creators and agencies looking for software for work. AppSumo wants a working product, not a beta or a concept, from a business that can handle support and respond to reviews. Consumer-only apps are not a fit. Lifetime deals are common but not required, except on AppSumo Radar. If you are comparing routes, see where to launch a SaaS.

How to submit#

  1. Start an application from the seller page. The partner portal requires an account.
  2. AppSumo's team reviews the product for quality, market fit and partner stability.
  3. If accepted, you agree the deal structure, pricing and listing with AppSumo.
  4. The product launches to AppSumo's community, with email, ads, affiliate and video campaigns used for products that resonate with buyers.
  • Cost: No upfront cost. AppSumo takes a revenue share negotiated on product category and expected performance (seller page). Applying is free, but there is no free listing: every deal runs on revenue share.
  • Link type: dofollow. On a sampled listing checked on 2026-10-18, the product's website link carried noopener only, with no nofollow.
  • Review time: Not confirmed.

The catch#

AppSumo is picky on purpose. It puts its acceptance rate at about 10% and says it looks for partners with runway, a team and a track record that shows they will be around. A solo maker with a young product may not pass that bar, and even if accepted, every sale carries the negotiated revenue share. Browse other options on our launch sites list.

ZeroRaised lists products from makers with no institutional VC or accelerator equity. If that describes you, submit your product to ZeroRaised.
