What you get

  • What launched. Every product that went live on the board that week, in one line each.
  • What got traction, and why. Votes, ranks and the maker's own published numbers. If nothing got traction, we say so.
  • One mini teardown. A single launch, taken apart: positioning, pricing, the page, the distribution.
  • One takeaway. Something specific you can change before your own launch.

This is the draft of issue #1, shown in full so you know what you are signing up for. Figures were checked against the public board when it was written.

One vote, one launch post: what 19 to 27 Oct showed

Eight launches, one upvote between them, and the boring reason Mockship got it.

Eight products launched on ZeroRaised from 19 to 27 October. Here is what happened, with no rounding up.

What launched#

  • Mockship (19 Oct): wraps screenshots in device or browser frames for social images.
  • Hypermass (20 Oct): live data streams delivered as files to your machine.
  • WriteChinese (22 Oct): free Chinese stroke-order practice. No signup.
  • Marco (23 Oct): a private, offline-first inbox with no AI writing.
  • Novastart (24 Oct): an infinite canvas whiteboard OS.
  • What Should My Bot Do (25 Oct): AI agent use cases for small businesses.
  • Tip Toeing in My Jordans (26 Oct): one photo in, a barn tiptoe meme clip out.
  • RepeatForm (27 Oct): reuses your answers from last time's PDF form.

What got traction (and why)#

On the board, almost nothing did. Mockship finished 19 October at rank 1 with 1 upvote. No other launch showed a vote count once its board closed. RepeatForm had none when we checked late on 27 October, with voting still open. We are not going to dress that up.

One off-board number: Marco's founder, Isaac Hinman, says on DEV Community that it has more than 2,000 organic users and no VC. His figure, not ours; we can't check it.

Mini teardown: Mockship#

Why did the only vote go to Mockship? We can't see who voted, so this is what is visible, not a claim of cause.

  • It had a launch post. Mockship was the only one of the eight with a linked launch post (on X). The rest had nothing pointing at their page.
  • The free tier asks nothing of you. No account, HD PNG and JPEG export, no watermark; 4K, 6K and WebP need Pro. Visitors get the result before deciding anything.
  • The page is specific. 22 device frames, 158 backdrops, 20 templates. Numbers you can check beat "beautiful mockups in seconds".
  • The maker told a community. Aman Qureshi announced it on the Framer Community, saying he built it solo.

The takeaway#

A directory listing is not distribution. One linked post and one place you already belong was enough to beat seven launches that sent nobody. If you launch here, write the post first and link it on your submission.

Launches from 28 October onwards will be in next week's issue.

Submitting is free. For a guaranteed 48-hour review and a short written teardown like this one, the $29 Founding Launch is open to the first 50 makers. To reach founders, the $149/month Featured spot sits at the top of the home page and blog index, clearly labelled, with no effect on rankings.

Frequently asked questions

What is in each issue?

Four short sections: what launched in the ZeroRaised directory that week, what got traction and why, one mini teardown of a single launch, and one takeaway you can apply to your own launch.

How often does it arrive?

Once a week, on Tuesday. Each issue is roughly 300 to 500 words, so it takes a few minutes to read.

Where do the numbers come from?

From the public ZeroRaised board: launch dates, votes and ranks, plus figures the makers published themselves, which are labelled as theirs. When a number is not known, the issue says so instead of estimating.

Is it free?

Yes. Each issue may mention the optional $29 Founding Launch or the $149/month Featured spot, which are how ZeroRaised pays for itself.

How do I unsubscribe?

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You are also asked to confirm your address before anything is sent, so nobody can sign you up by mistake.
