What DevHunt is#
DevHunt is a launchpad for developer tools, built by developers. Makers list their tools, a new batch launches on the home page each week, and developers vote for the ones they like. The platform itself is open source, according to its FAQ.
Who it suits#
It is for developer-tool makers and the developers who discover and vote on those tools. Accepted tools include open source projects, APIs and SDKs, frameworks, CLIs, testing and monitoring tools, AI agents and MCP servers. Tools that are not for developers, NSFW tools and fake engagement services are turned away. For a direct comparison, read DevHunt vs Product Hunt.
How to submit#
- Sign in and open your account.
- Submit your tool with its name, website, description, logo and screenshots. Every tool gets a permanent page.
- To launch, pick a launch week and pay $19, or $49 for a boosted launch.
- During launch week, developers signed in with GitHub or Google vote. The tools with the most votes at the end of the week win and are featured in the weekly newsletter.
Cost, link type and review time#
- Cost: Freemium. A permanent listing is free, a launch is $19 one-time, and a boosted launch is $49 (FAQ). The $19 launch includes a newsletter spot, and the boosted launch ranks above other launches on equal votes.
- Link type: dofollow. On a sampled launched tool checked on 2026-10-18, the Visit website link carried noopener only, with no nofollow.
- Review time: Not confirmed.
The catch#
The dofollow link is tied to paying. DevHunt's FAQ says links on free listings are nofollow, and only paid launches get a permanent dofollow link. The sampled tool was a launched one, so a free listing will not match it. If you want more developer-friendly options, see our list of Product Hunt alternatives for bootstrapped makers.
ZeroRaised lists products from makers with no institutional VC or accelerator equity. If that describes you, submit your product to ZeroRaised.
