What StartupBase is#
StartupBase is a launch and discovery site where founders post new products and other people upvote, review and follow them. New launches go up on the homepage at 12:00 AM PDT each day, and every product keeps a permanent listing page after its launch.
Who it suits#
The launch page describes two groups: founders and makers launching a product, and early adopters looking for their next tool. It fits a maker with a finished product and a website who can wait a few weeks, or who is happy to pay to choose a date. If you are collecting no-cost places to list, our roundup of free startup directories has more.
How to submit#
- Sign in with Google, LinkedIn or X. Email sign-in only works for existing accounts.
- Add your product, logo and pitch.
- Pick a launch type. A free launch needs the StartupBase badge on your site and gets a date assigned from the queue. A premium launch is paid once through Paddle and lets you choose tomorrow or any date within 30 days.
- On launch day your product goes live on the homepage, where founders can upvote it, and its product page takes comments and reviews.
Cost, link type and review time#
- Cost: Freemium. The free launch costs $0, and premium starts at $39 as a one-time payment with no subscription (launch page).
- Link type: dofollow. On a sampled listing checked on 2026-10-19, the Visit website link carried noopener and noreferrer, with no nofollow.
- Review time: About 4 to 5 weeks for a free launch, and as early as tomorrow for premium (launch page).
The catch#
The free route has two strings attached. You must place a StartupBase badge on your own site, and you wait in a queue for about 4 to 5 weeks, with the exact wait depending on how many launches are ahead of you. The launch page also promises the permanent dofollow link specifically for paid launches and does not make the same promise for free ones, so check your own listing once it goes up. More places to compare are on our launch sites page.
