About

Marco is an email client for people who want a private, offline-first inbox without AI writing on their behalf. Its live site states that it has no AI drafts, rewrites, summaries or replies, and no ads, tracking or data mining. Marco brings Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo and iCloud accounts into one inbox and runs on macOS, iOS and the web, with sync across devices. The site says data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Mail stays readable without an internet connection, and the app can snooze messages or turn an email, or any line in it, into a task with a due date. Marco has a free plan. In a founder post on DEV Community, maker Isaac Hinman explains that he built Marco on IMAP first, so it works with almost any provider rather than depending on the Gmail API, and describes working through five offline-first data layers to handle hundreds of thousands of entities per account. The same post says Marco has more than 2,000 organic users and is bootstrapped with no VC.
