About

[REDACTED] is a collection of free browser-based tools for removing sensitive information from text, images, PDFs, video, screenshots, code and logs. The live site includes a text redactor, face and video blurring, a PDF redactor, a chat screenshot anonymiser, a secrets scrubber, a screencast redactor, a metadata stripper and a redaction checker. Some additional tools are marked as coming soon, so they are not counted as currently available. Processing runs locally in the browser: the site says files and text stay in the computer’s memory, no account is required, and downloaded models can continue working offline. Each tool presents proposed detections before export, leaving the user to review what should remain visible. The PDF tool says it removes hidden text rather than merely placing a visual box over it. The project is made by Jon Yongfook, whose X profile links the redaction service and describes his SaaS work as bootstrapped. The same profile identifies him as @yongfook. The service is free, carries no usage limit or watermark according to its homepage, and is a set of privacy utilities rather than a product-launch directory.
