What MCP.so is#
MCP.so is a directory for the Model Context Protocol, the open standard that lets AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and VS Code talk to outside tools and data. It lists MCP servers and clients with setup guides, and it also has sections for command-line tools, loops, agent skills and agents.
Who it suits#
The audience is developers looking for MCP servers, clients, command-line tools, agent skills, loops and agents. The submit page accepts MCP servers, remote servers, MCP clients and AI products, so it fits makers who have built one of those. Our guide on how to launch an AI app covers the work around a listing like this.
How to submit#
- Open the submit page and pick a type: MCP Server, Remote Server, MCP Client or AI Product.
- Enter your repository URL, which is required, and the project name.
- Pay the one-time publishing fee and submit. The page says the listing is submitted automatically after payment.
Cost, link type and review time#
- Cost: Paid. Publishing costs USD 39 as a one-time fee (submit page). There is no free option, and the page does not state that you need to sign in first. The paid submission also lists a verified badge, featured and priority placement, and a dofollow project link.
- Link type: dofollow. On a sampled listing checked on 2026-10-19, the Homepage link carried noopener and noreferrer, with no nofollow.
- Review time: MCP.so states this two ways. The submit page says listings publish immediately without review, while the homepage FAQ says listings go live after review.
The catch#
Not every link on your page is followed. On the sampled listing, the Repository, Homepage and Documentation buttons had no nofollow, but links written into the project description carried nofollow and ugc, so extra URLs in your write-up will not get a followed link. You also pay before anything appears, and there is no free route to compare against first. If $39 is more than you want to spend on one directory, browse other options on our launch sites list.
ZeroRaised lists products from makers with no institutional VC or accelerator equity. If that describes you, submit your product to ZeroRaised.
